GALLERY EXHIBITION: Jason Taylor’s Function Ltd.
September 29th – November 18th 2018 – see opening times here.
Jason Taylor Art Gallery Exhibition Stockport Manchester
Jason Taylor is an artist/maker who creates unconventional sculptures and products inspired by ordinary objects, sometimes considered mundane. Jason works with everyday items (or “readymades”) and loves to tinker with them to combine, adapt and transform them into new designs. During a recent six-week residency at Orleans House Gallery in London, Jason worked with schools, young people and families to inspire him and help to create elements of an interactive exhibition.
At the Arc Centre Gallery, Jason is showing work from the exhibition in London alongside work from his ‘Everyday Objects’ project, where he made something new every day of 2012, a selection from his ‘Fill Bill’ series which utilises Ikea Billy bookcases. Also on show will be some of his successful lighting designs such as the ‘Grate Light’ which was sold around the world through the Conran Shop.
Meet Jason at the exhibition launch from 11:00 – 15:30 on Saturday September 29th alongside the Saturday Art Clubs. The exhibition will also be open during the Halloween Saturday Art Club on October 27th. The exhibition continues Weds-Fri until 16:00 November 16th.
