Arts For Wellbeing

Arts for Wellbeing is a 10-week Arts for Wellbeing programme that uses creativity as a therapeutic tool to help participants to relax, build confidence, improve their mental health and connect with others. The small group sessions provide a safe, warm and supportive environment where participants can flourish through a structured programme of therapeutic art-making and the ideal entry-point to Arc.

Each artist-led session introduces participants to a range of accessible and playful artforms and activities from printmaking and collage to pastels and watercolours. Participants can access a range of digital resources so that if they want to, they can experience the benefits of creativity at home between workshops.

Arc’s Wellbeing Support Worker is on hand to support participants to get the most out of the programme and provide signposting where needed.

The programme takes place at Arc in Stockport or at Gallery Oldham. Residents from Stockport, Oldham and Tameside can be referred onto the programme or can self-refer using the online form below.
