Arc at Hat Works
Arc is based within Hat Works in the heart of Stockport, Greater Manchester, a key landmark on the Stopfordian skyline.
Arc and Hat Works Museum are working together to create a dynamic hub in which to view, take part and enjoy arts and heritage.
From our town centre space we provide creative opportunities and a place to relax and meet people in The Gallery Cafe and Handmade at Hat Works shop, and at our classes and arts events. Find out more via the picture links below!
The Hat Works Museum
The Hat Museum is a Stockport Council heritage site on the lower floors of the building and we feel privileged to be part of the historic Hat Works in Stockport. It is the UK’s only museum dedicated to hats and headwear.
The museum is currently only open for pre-booked tours of the factory floor. Please check here for updates.
Wellington Mill itself is a grade II listed building that was built as an early fireproof cotton spinning mill in 1828, before becoming a hat works in the 1890s.
