Join us for Christmas at Arc!
We are so pleased to be able to get back to Arc Centre at Hat Works these last few months, and have a festive treat in store! After the success of our lovely Christmas 2019 event, that feels so long ago now, we have a more creative activities-focused yuletide Art Club planned, plus handmade Christmas shopping, tasty treats and a raffle! There will also be various activities planned for in the centre in December, so keep an eye out on our socials for updates! It feels so lovely to have people back in the Centre, and we hope our supporters will join us for a fabulous, festive and fun day and be creative with us and spend ‘Christmas at Arc’, to help us raise funds for our work.
We are also pleased to have a magical miniature installation by The Doll’s House Art Gallery at the centre, to really fire up those festive feels!

Charity Raffle
You could win children’s and adult’s arts and crafts materials or a range of toys from the Character Group if you buy a ticket for our Charity Raffle in The Gallery Cafe from November 18th! We’re fundraising to continue our work with families and young people in Stockport and Oldham who are facing challenges. A big thank you to Character Group Toys for their generous donations! You can pop in to buy a ticket until the winner is drawn on December 8th, after which we’ll contact you and you’ll be able to collect your prizes if you’re the lucky one!
Handmade Charity Shopping
This year we are pleased to offer both shopping for Arcware on our Online Shop (which includes delivery or Click & Collect) AND a retail selection in The Gallery Cafe, so you can experience the perfect duo – brews & peruse! Our shops will feature handmade homewares, greetings cards, stationery, ceramic jewellery, decorations and tealight holders, paint a shape kits and more!
Every purchase is a contribution to help us continue our work unlocking creativity and transforming the lives of vulnerable adults and young people across Greater Manchester. Read more about how we improve mental health and wellbeing, inspire and build resilience here.
The Artist’s Table
Exclusively for during our festive Saturday Art Club event, we thought Christmas at Arc wouldn’t be the same without a selection of handmade artwork and pieces by local makers, so we’ve invited some of Arc’s associate artists and facilitators to send us a few of their best pieces! Buying from these fabulous artists ensures a quality and unique gift for yourself or a loved one, plus a portion of the sales support our work with people experiencing mental health issues.
Makers confirmed so far are: Sahron Giles, Caroline Coates, Nerissa Cargill Thompson, Becca Smith, Jason Taylor/Jason Made, Christmas in Tiny Town, Sarah Pink, Alison Waters and Anita Draper.
