Treat yourself to a relaxing and creative evening Art Spa
After a sellout success in early 2024, our Art Spa is back for a relaxing New Year event to look forward to during the dark, cold days of January in our lovely warm space..
Thursday, January 23rd 2024 from 18:00 – 21:00.
Treat yourself and boost your wellbeing with an evening of creativity in the iconic Stockport Hat Works. Enjoy a free drink and canapes on arrival, before enjoying 4 artist-led creative activities. Expect a welcoming and sociable atmosphere, with our cafe open for drinks and a chance to win a ‘pamper hamper’ in our raffle.
At our last Art Spa, some people came with their partner, some with friends, some with colleagues and some on their own… It’s up to you how you want to enjoy the experience!
All money from ticket sales, our cafe, handmade shop, raffle and donations helps us to continue delivering our amazing, life-changing programmes, so please support us and enjoy a lovely evening.
Creative Activities
Watercolour Bookmarks
Unleash your creativity and make a beautiful watercolour bookmark. Choose your favourite colours as a background and when dry, add intricate pen patterns, words or a simple sketch to personalise your bookmark. Finish off by adding a tassel of your choice for a touch of elegance. This unique piece can be a thoughtful gift for a loved one or a perfect companion for your favourite book.
Mini Pots
Create a one-of-a kind mini masterpiece! You’ll start by kneading soft, white air-dry clay until it’s pliable. Then, using your hands and simple tools, shape the clay into tiny pots, experiment with decorative patterns and allow to air dry. Your mini pot can be painted at home if you wish and will look great as a tea-light holder or as a home for your own mock mini plant.
Printmaking
Learn the art of block printing. This hands-on workshop will take you through the design and polystyrene printmaking process to create your own unique handmade artwork, as a stand-up card or to frame at home.
Highland Cow Keychain
Make an adorable keychain. In this workshop you’ll transform a piece of leather into a charming Highland cow keychain. You will explore pattern cutting and finishing techniques, which will leave you with a unique, handmade keepsake.
