In recent years, Arc has developed innovative and high profile projects which enable us to work outside previous boundaries, bringing to life partnerships which benefit and sustain us, and have enabled us to extend our reach and our Greater Manchester Art Project Portfolio.

Through these projects we are able to work with exceptional artists and arts organisations to make stronger connections and greater social impact.

Unpicked: Restitched   (2015 – 2016)

Arc commissioned Sarah Butler and Julie Mosley to lead a programme of workshops, conversation and engagement. They discovered hidden stories, characters, maps within maps, producing a major exhibition in venues across Stockport.

The Other in Mother   (2018 / 2019)

The Other in Mother is a visual art project which explores the psychological transition women experience in motherhood, described as a ‘continuous process of contradictions-tensions-resolutions-new contradictions’.

We Are Dreamers   (2018 / 2019)

We Are Dreamers was an ambitious project which gave Arc the opportunity to work with more people in Stockport than ever before. Delivering in schools, neighbourhood settings and town centre spaces such as Hatworks, we gained a wider profile and reach. We employed artists and developed new partnerships with community and cultural groups across the Borough.
